NEWBORN SESSION
Best time to photograph newborn is between 7-14 days. Newborn sessions happen in my studio at Highfields
I suggest that you feed your baby after arriving at my studio as full tummy will help him settle to sleep and that is exactly what we want!
Sessions usually take between 3-4 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, settling, and time in between for scene changes.
I do not like rushing newborn sessions and also ask you not to stress if baby doesn’t want to settle for us straight away!
That does happen and that is really OK!
I believe that providing baby with a nice and calm environment.
I believe giving baby, that little bit more time can be super beneficial for our session.
I will have my studio all ready for when you arrive so you and your family can feel nice and super relaxed.
Your baby will spend lots of time nude so please prepare yourself for a very warm room as we need to keep your baby warm and comfortable.
Warm and cosy baby= happy, sleepy and relaxed baby! Room needs to be warm enough for your little one to feel comfortable sleeping in it.
Which is exactly what we want.
During the session, you might find yourself feeding bub a tiny bit more than you normally would,
this helps to settle your little one and get them to sleep.
We start the sessions with siblings, as small children tend to lose interest very quickly, then we will move to the newborn poses and once baby reaches the deep sleep cycle I will try and pose him into various of different super cute poses which hopefully will allow us to
achieve some amazing dreamy images for you and your family!
Please remember that your baby will always be my first and most important priority and I will not do anything unsafe or uncomfortable for the little one. I always make sure to follow baby lead first and if baby allows that’s when I try my best to achieve the best results.
Please bring a spare set of clothes for yourself and your husband as quiet often baby may poop or wee on one of the parents.
Trust me! It happens a lot!
Please also bring a few spare nappies, wipes, burp cloths and book or magazine for yourself!
Session fee for the newborn session is $75and this covers;
* 3-4 hours newborn portrait session,
family and siblings portraits,
Use of my props, outfits, backdrops, camera gear and other accessories,
Post-session processing and preparations of your images,
Private online gallery to chose your images.
Session fee is due on the day of booking your session to secure your date. Session fee is not refundable if you decide to cancel your booking but I am more then happy to reschedule session for another day if there is the need for this. Please let me know as soon as possible if there is a need to reschedule your session, so I can arrange that for you and swap other bookings if needed.
